We were very honored to be part of the European Pain School at the Certosa di Pontignano in Siena (June 9-15, 2024) and meet doctoral and post-doctoral pain researchers from Europe, USA, Canada, and even South America. This year’s European Pain School was themed “Pain and the Immune System” and it was the twenty-first time this pain school has been held since 2003. A longstanding tradition!
Medoc’s participation included a short introduction on quantitative sensory testing, and how this method can be used in Pain and Neurology studies. Afterwards, a hands-on QST workshop was held where the scholars could try applying QST and sensing what thermal and mechanical QST feels like.
